Wanted to see if there's any interest in a 1991 Turbo Legacy Automatic. It's white, a little beat up. I don't remember the mileage off the top of my head. It's recently had a bunch of engine work done. Someone put oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil and so the block was cleaned out and the gaskets replaced. The turbo was also blown and it was replaced with a WRX TD03 and a WRX TMIC was installed with all custom (botched togeather) piping. It runs great, just has a small lifter tap from the oil in the coolant whatever that was done. We bought it off a guy who was trying to just replace the engine (of course he couldn't find a 2.2T) and he was about to put a 1.8 or a 2.5 in it but we convinced him to sell it to us. I believe we've also done custom exaust to it.
It is also possible something is wrong with the AWD system. Possibly the solinoid or clutch pack are bad. We haven't looked into it and aren't even sure if it is bad.
The body is in OK shape, no rust period and no serious damage, maybe a few dings here or there. The interior is in reasonably good shape, the stereo is a little rough and IIRC doesn't work correctly.
Otherwise everything works, power sunroof, power windows, power locks, etc.
All in all a great project if you're looking for a TSD/Rally car. We have another one that we've been running for 2 years now and they do wonderfully out there. In fact, we just won 2nd place SOP at No Alibi 2006 which just ended today. We were going to use it as a second rally car so that I can drive for once instead of just navigating for my dad but I'm thinking I would prefer a 325ix project instead since I have a soft spot for E30s and we have enough Subarus around here
I'll get some pictures soon. We'd be looking for around $3000. I need to know if anyone is interested soon 'cause I got a 325ix project on the line already

you can never have enough subarus ....
I'll see you at next years no alibi though

I'll try and shorten my times for ya
How's cleaning the car from all the mud going? I'm still washing all the mud off / out of mine... probably will just pay a place to detail the thing becuase that stuff is everywhere!

Cleaning?? Pfft, who needs cleaning?

Hopefully next year I'll have my own car and will be able to drive on a rally for the first time in 3 years

Unfortunately I let it slip to my wife about the cliffs at this one. Oops!

Well if things go well my navigator for this one will be taking his Laser Project car .... as long as he installs the *oh shit handle* and bucket seats I'll be riding shotgun... but who knows
My car is the daily driver so I have to clean mine... I think all the people at my work get offended seeing my car more dirty than their SUV's ...
Know of any good detailing places that wash the entire car inside and out? I think my car deserves a steam cleaning

I PAID 3K FOR MY 92SS AUTO WITH LEATHER INTERIOR AND THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS VALVE COVER LEAKS, I WOULD SAY AROUND 1500 TO 1700 FOR IT. I CAN GET A 91SS 5SP FOR $300 WHEN IVE GOT THE CASH, IT RUNS AND DRIVES SAME MILAGE, JUST NEEDS THE A CLUTCH, AND REAR CORNER WINDOW

Please be certain button is in the "off" position before posting on Legacy Central

Yep, I'm in Cle Elum. You've probably seen my STi driving around, it's hard to miss
And yes, the $3000 is for wiggle room.
And I doubt anyone could find a Turbo Legacy with a WRX turbo and a WRX intercooler and a whole bunch of work done for less than $2500. Heck, I can't find one for less than $3500 on Autotrader at the moment.
It runs great, looks just fine and it drive excellent.
This is OBO, remember. I just need it sold, and I want to make sure it goes to a good home.

Asking price looks SPOT on, IMO. Adding the upgrades make that price a value if you ask me. Also, 91' auto should have rear LSD which is another notable selling point!!!
Course what do I know about selling legacy turbo's...

Oh Keith, you're just trying to talk up the value of the T-Leg market.
If I had the cash I'd look at picking this one up for my wife, she likes mine (except she says I should put a muffler on that muffler, lol), and she needs something that gets better mileage than her Suburban.
If anybody outside the area wants an independent opinion on this one I can probably go take a look (not that I doubt anything Patrick is saying).

Heck, I paid $3500 for mine with all new suspension and a whole slew of extra parts.
I think the pricing is fair, but negotiable.

plus, his comments are a violation of the new parts shed rules. but since they were made before the rules were posted i imagine they were part of the inspiration for the rules.
