I'm on my way to Grass Valley, Cali for a vacation with a stop in Cleveland and Chicago to drop off a couple of my band's demo CD's at Alligator Records. This is my first visit to the west coast so I'm excited.
If anyone is curious, one of my bands is on myspace music. The songs that are on the site aren't the final mix but they give a pretty good idea of what we sound like. Check it out if you're curious. I'm still working on a CMS for the other band's website so it's under construction.

Oh. Well, yeah, try calling me. I haven't decided yet, but I might be going to visit DC this weekend, so I might not be here. But try anyway.

For anyone who cares, the trip across country was awesome. I drove through Nebraska and Nevada. It's been quite a trek. There's almost too much to go into for here.

I saw a modded '06 Legacy on the way. It blew by me on 80 through Nebraska. That thing was screaming, probably going at least 120.

Cool Matt, I sent you a PM. I've been keeping an eye out for any SS's but so far I haven't seen any. There's quite a few Mercedes CLK's around here but not many subies. I'm itching to work on my car now that I've been away from it for a few days.

California is a pretty cool place. I just got back from Scott's flat where we did some water skiing and boating - my skin hurts. I love it here except for the cost of living. Raley's is a pretty cool supermarket chain. I got a burrito here for five bucks that was a foot around and Starbucks even has Mexican food in it too and very good iced mochas, I'm already spoiled. We're getting ready to rock a party out tomorrow, this place is cool.

I guess we're leaving Friday morning. I'll be driving most of the way. I've been getting all kinds of calls for jobs while I was away. It figures, leave town and doors start to open.

Are you guys still stopping in Co for a few days?

No, we're coming straight home.
I was going to say before that it would be really cool if you and I were able to come out. I can see how we could have a really good time out here. In Mendocino I wanted to stay behind. I could totally live out there. We checked out some tide pools and stuff, it was really awesome. People are pretty free with what they do out here, I love it. I had no trouble meeting some cool people and there's a ton of good food. Yeah, it would be cool if you were here.
Oh yeah, we took the demo to a radio station and they were totally digging it.

I laughed my ass off at some of the stuff they were saying on the radio in Mendo. I don't want to go home where you can't get a good burrito to save your life....Raley's...man I'll miss that place.
