Got the car back on Tuesday afternoon, and did some testing this evening.

On an arterial street with no traffic I hammered it at 25 mph and at about 1200 rpm in third gear. The tranny instantly dropped to first, revs came up and most importantly the boost jumped to the limit of 14 boost--with no lag.

Everything I've read suggested that an automatic wasn't as good at driving a turbo as a manual box.

Happy :-D :-D :-D

Will soon test it at speed.

Congrats man, sounds like fun! Wish my 4EAT could handle boost

I miss my old stomp -o- matic. That thing really knew how to snap me back in my seat. Too bad the tranny never held up. Is your's built or stock?

Built--otherwise it wouldn't take it.

Also it has the stall torque converter, so it comes off the line fast with nothing more complicated than stomping the accelerator :-)
