Anyone know how to remove that white powder (oxidation) that forms on aluminum? I'm starting to clean up all the extra stuff that goes back on the long block for when I get the motor back from the machinest. There must be a chemical agent of some sort. Similar to a rust killer but for aluminum instead of iron or steel. I heard there might be some sort of Naval Jelly but made for aluminum, any input???????

Thanks, Mike

Aluminum Polish. You can pick some up at your local autoparts store.

You can also use use extra fine sand and blast it on with some air. But anopening s must be sealed well.

Rubbing it with a dry cloth does a world of good. Beyond that, they sell aluminum polish in these weird brown bars. You just rub the aluminum with it and it comes out all shiny.
