93 2.2 stock turbo/psi, aftermarket bp/bo valve, 3" dp/exhaust, Walbro pump.

I had a pinging problem that turned out to be a bad coil.

I threw a junkyard coil on there about 1000 miles ago. My engine has been running great until a few weeks ago.

Now somtimes when I try to acc I experance a major loss of power.
But dyno says I'm loosing about 40 hp.

If I stay into it my acceleration is still pretty smooth but I'm down on power. and the rpm's don't want to increase. and then all of a sudden it's like somthing snaps and I'm running perfectly again. The snap back to normal is not rpm related, and dosn't seem to be throttle related.

It seems that the problem is mostly after hot re-starts.
So I think it's a heat soak issue.

It dosn't seem like a single cylinder problem.
I don't think its low boost or boost leak related.

So does that sound like

-A sensor problem? (I have no CEL's)
-An Ignition problem?
-A selinoid problem?
-somthing else?

Within the last month I have put in the following new Items:
- KS
-ect sender
-plugs/wires
-TPS voltages withen spec and smooth
good fuel pressure.

Thanks

Brice

Coolant Temp. Sensor or Crank Position Sensor.

I can almost guarantee it's one of those two.

Right.

I already have a new engine coolant temp sensor, so I'll try splicing my junkyard cps in.
