Has anyone had any bad expireinces with removing it?

Why is it there?

I don't know why it's there. As far as I can tell, I've been doing fine without it for quite some time now.

My transmission did fail several months ago. However, enough other cars with similar mods but intact clutch dampers suffered similar failures that I can't conclude the missing damper had anything to do with it.

So you never noticed a difference in feel, or anything?

No, I have noticed no difference.
