Its been a while since I've been on this board but I just wanted to say goodbye and thanks to all the people who have helped me with advice on car issues that I've had in my short time being a member. It helped me get a greater understanding and appreciation for the Subaru Legacy. Now, the time has come to move onto something else. Yesterday, I purchased an 03 G35 so "Suby" must go. It's not feasible to keep her as I want to because insurance rates and time won't permit it. I may have already found her a good home but after owning my car for eight years its hard to let her go. Again, thanks to all of you. Although I've never met any of you personally, I must say that you're a top-notch bunch of people and I know I would enjoy hanging out with you. Take care and good luck with all you seek to accomplish.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!!!
Just kidding. Sucks to lose another member. Hope everything goes well with the new car. Have you told the roo's new owner about the LCO? We always have room.

Well, the perspective owner backed out but I have another lined up and I did tell him about the site. This is one of the best forums in cyberspace because the people here (no matter the age) are quite mature compared to others I've been too.

You know, even though I plan to get rid of my Suby, I'll definately keep checking this site just to see what's the latest and greatest. My only hope is to find a site for the G35 that have the same type of atmosphere that is here.

Hate to say this, but most likely you won't.
G35 owners (ones that classify themselves as 'import tuners' anyway) are usually total dicks, like their car can hang with an F1 car or something.
Don't be a stranger

I was hoping I didn't run into the real immature types. I never liked people like that and since I've gotten older my patience won't even let me socialize with those types. I'll still visit here often.

Wow, you guys were right. I've visited some of the G35 boards to see what its like and I'm starting to see things like "this guy says his car is this...bs its an auto so it cant possibly make that power" and my car is better than yours." I can't believe some of the things I'm seeing. I noticed here that if someone say something like I added this and got xx hp gains he'll/she'll be given congrats instead of negativity. I think I'm dealing with a real young crowd. I'm not knocking younger people because I was there before but I never behaved that way.

That's like the Legacy GT page and the Mazda3 one is boring: full of people who don't know cars. I think the G35s are, unfortunately, the alternate new BMW. I hate it when 'tards ruin good cars via association. I haven't really touched my wagon since October, but I still come here anyway.

I also have a G20 (BTW, it's "Infiniti"

) and the G20.net forums aren't quite as good as LCO, but they're still pretty good for a car forum IMO -- I'd say better than NASIOC. I actually have an SR20DE in the back of my Legacy right now -- I got it in Chicago and am taking it home to Baltimore to put in my G20 to replace the old blown one.

Good luck with the swap. It looks like I'll get to know my dealership quite well because I took it in for some recall work today and as I'm driving home I noticed the engine light on. I'll be paying them a visit tomorrow.
