ABS on '93 legacy turbo???

OK... First of all this is not a question about whether the '93 legacy turbos came with abs, because they do:-D

My question is however... Can the the ABS "system" be shut off without causing drivline problems??? I only ask this because some AWD/traction control systems use the ABS sensor at each hub to detect wheel spin. I don't wanna break the differentials!!!

Also, if this can be done safely, how would you do it? (Unplug harness/sensor, remove fuse)

The reason that I would like to know this is because I may be buying a car like this with "brake pulsing" problems and I think it would be easier(read: cheaper) to try this than immediatly going for a new set of rotors$$$

FYI: Its a 4EAT if it matters...

Thanks in advance for your advice.

You should be able to disable the ABS without affecting the AWD. the fuse for the ABS system is in the fuse box.

However it will probably have absolutely zero affect with the brake pulsing issue you described. Replace the rotors.

pulling the abs fuse can have some wierd effects. locking em up in the ice for a long distance makes it go into this wacky ABS limp mode.
