Have been noticing slight slippage of the clutch on my 92 SS. noticed the first time about a month ago, while using cruise control on some uphill slopes, noticed the tach needle bounce to a higher level then drop back down. have been continue driving it, and finally today it has gotten worse. I start a new job 70 miles away 1 way, start on Monday. I cant risk getting broke down that far away.

My TW is in dire need of some brakes for the front, it is metal to metal and that is why i stopped driving it. I have the new pads for it, so will swap them out tomorrow, but i still have to throw a battery in the TW. Guess that will be my daily driver until i get enough cash to buy the clutch for the 92

shit this suks,.

OE Clutches are cheap yo. $349.01 for the Exedy OEM WRX clutch. Resurface your flywheel, probably for about $100, and you are golden.

Granted my NA is different, but I got a clutch for $159. A local shop resurfaced the flywheel for $30. I don't know what a turbo clutch is on the low end, but that and a Haynes manual is your friend. If you get ambitous, you and a couple freinds could do it in a weekend.

OE clutches are $349.01. I've got like 2 in stock, if you want, I can ship it out on monday. If it were me, I wouldn't gamble with a cheapie clutch.

Assuming things go smoothly, you can do the job one saturday.

The important thing is that you do it correctly, once. Don't just replace the disc, get a kit. Replace the TOB, Pilot Bearing, resurface the flywheel, and of course the clutch disc and pressure plate.
