Front LSD Q's

Hi.

I have a rally 89 Legacy with an 94 WRX RA close ratio gearbox (4.111) and rear V-LSD diff.

It has a open diff in the front, not LSD. I really want a LSD in the front.

I have looked around and can't find any for sale.

Would the insides of a rear diff fit in the front?

If not, what model gearbox would have a front LSD?

What is the best way to get a front LSD?

Are they difficult to install?

Thanks
Hayden

No Subaru 5-speeds came with front limited slips. Not that I know of anyways.

We stock helical type front limited slips at the shop if you are interested. We've used them in several rally cars with fantastic results!

Rear diff guts don't bolt into the front diff, unfortunately. Install is fairly easy if you've done it before. The front diff is the LAST part to come out of the transmission, but installing it is cake if you know what you are doing.

PM me and I can ship it tomorrow :)

Thanks for that. But I am in New Zealand. A little to far away.

I dont want to spend the earth on a new diff. What would I expect to pay if in the US?

Ours are $1150 US. I don't mind shipping to New Zealand. We've got international shipping accounts (built lots of transmissions for people in Europe and such)
