Using stock wastegate solenoid with aftermarket turbo

Well, I decided to hook back up the stock wastegate solenoid. It's working fine.

Since the ECU is just trying to hit a set boost pressure, it will adjust the duty cycle to whatever it needs to hit that boost.

The only caveat to this is that the aftermarket turbo's wastegate actuator must open at a lower pressure then the stock boost limit.

So I got an extra 2 psi :D

Which was nice, but it wasn't an overly drastic difference compared to 7.

Maybe the extra 2 will be noticed with cooler ambient temps in the Fall. :-)

Maybe it doesn't cool off in your 'hood :(

It won't get considerably cooler until november. October is still relatively hot.
