Don't worry, it's not that scary.

There she is, my 90 FWD L. I've done a lot of work on it. My budget paint job consists of John Deere brand Blitz Black paint. It's like a flat black but better than just a satin. I shot it in my driveway. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it and decided to show the boards after I washed it today.

Rims are 16x7 Sparco Rally Wheels wrapped in 205/50's Kumho 711's. Got them from JHot import for like 200 shipped

I really like the paint, what really sold me on it was the fact I can touch it up with the same stuff in a can, that and it doesn't look like primer, it's got a little more shine to it. For the 70 bucks I put into the paintjob, I think I got my money's worth. :-)

I do need to wetsand it and clean up some spots I messed up on. There are like 3 runs and some dust in it. A light wetsand would take care of it, but I just can't get motivated. The nice thing about the paint is that you really cant tell. It did bring out a few dents I didn't notice I had when I was doing the bodywork. Oh well. Thanks for the comments!

I uploaded my photo to a free host online, I used http://www.imageshack.us and then in the message body I used the image tag (Img) at the top of the message body box. Be sure to have both sides of the tag, so click Img before and after you paste the link.

well, it was john deere yellow for a night. The special filler primer they have you use is bright yellow. The car kinda looked like a taxi. I'll dig up the pic.

"John Deere Greeeeeennnn on a hot summer night. . ."

So that's like a flat black that's got a little bit of shine to it?

You're right, we are twins! Did you have any paint coming off while washing?

The paint has been on the car for a few months now, nothing's come off. The paint is super tough. Here's a link from a hotrodder site that tells you everything you'd want to know about the stuff. It was a useful resource. http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki ... lack_paint check it out!
