The passed-around standalone

With the destruction of my engine, Ive got no current use for it.

I think it was originally Legacy294's. He couldnt use it because he has an auto. Then it was DZX's. He couldnt use it because of time restrictions on his daily driver. NOw its mine. Should it be yours next?

Once again, it's a Redline-Weber 882C which has been rebadged by Perfection Motorsports. It comes with a plugin harness for the 91-94 TUrbo Legacy and a base map. ALso comes with the crank sprocket and intake charge temp sensor. Software with license is also included.

Asking $1000 + shipping. I never installed it.

Do a 5MT swap.

If it were that easy. I have a tranny here that would work but the cost for the rest of the conversion would not be worth it at this moment.

So whats the reason why one cant use this standalone with an auto????

Doesnt give the proper feedback to the TCU

The only thing the TCU needs from the ECU is engine RPM. The other info the TCU gets directly from the sensors. So unless you have to swap out a lot of sensors, you could probably rig something up with the engine rpm input.

Will it work on 94 NA Legacy? Is actually worth buying for a EJ22 engine? I plan to get new cams and heads some time this winter.

This is the same one DZX was selling

I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work on an NA, although the fueling would have to be played with, and 2 or 3 wires changed

Engine management will always help you get more out of your engine.

Still got the ECU? If so, what kind of features does it have? Built in boost controllers/turbo timers any fancy stuff? How flexible is the software (Limitless?)

You can use it to control the stock boost solenoid, Im fairly sure it has anti-lag support, I dont understand what you mean by how flexible it is...

DANNGGGGG, if only I wasn't tied up in moving right now....

Is this Perfection Motorsport's standalone ecu they had been developing? If so, this is a steal of a deal.

Since it uses the stock connectors, i was wondering a few things about the potential of the unit in how far i can go with performance mods.

Couldnt really tell you, Ive never used it... Id imagine pretty far, it gives you total control over timing, fueling, etc
