Bad slave cylinder or master cylinder?

I have had this problem for a while. My clutch will not disengage enough for me to put my car in gear and the pedal will stick about halfway up. The bottom half(or less)of the pedal stroke is the only place where there is pressure. When it has been sitting the pressure will bleed off, but there arent any leaks. Would it be worth my while to get the rebiuld kits or just buy a whole new piece?

Your pressure plate could be on its way out.

How many miles does the car have? Is it on its original clutch?

It has almost 170k on it. My guess is that its not the original clutch. Wouldn't the pressure plate being worn make my clutch slip though? I have had it slip, but only on launches. If I let off the gas on get back on it will hold fine. Lastly, why would it change after the swap? I didn't separate the engine or tranny. If it is the PP then I guess that means I get to upgrade some more :D
