Keith at Frantic Four (mr soul) hooked me up with a $500 low-mile (<50k?) JDM 4.11 take-off turbo tranny for my 94 SS. The part was shipped quickly, arrived undamaged, and bolted right up.
Frank (Blackbart) took care of the other side of this, and sold me a 4.11 rear LSD with the axle stubs I needed. The part shipped quickly, but UPS apparently decided to play catch with the package and / or rummage through it, and the passenger side stub was lost through one of the box's new corner holes. After I told him what happened, he shipped me a replacement as soon as he could, and once that stub arrived my car went back together perfectly.
In short, any transactions with Keith or Frank should go smoothly and will not leave you worrying. Both of them are very responsive to PMs and emails. Thanks guys!

did you hook it up? How does it drive? Is it pretty quick?

I forgot to say, the rear LSD cost $300.
Yeah the car drives great, transmission shifts are the best I've ever experienced (tranny filled with Uncle Scotty's cocktail), and the smaller final drive ratio is fun.
Haven't really gotten on it fully just yet as I've just been driving it around town, where the cops are plentiful, the speed limit's 25-35mph, and my car is entirely too loud at WOT and between shifts with any boost whatsoever (damn HKS).

Chris: Sooooo, it's been over a month now. You must have had some opportunity to push this a bit right? Are you pleased?

Oh yes, yes indeed. Guilty on both counts. It 'cellerates pretty quick thru them 4.11 gears
On another note, driving 4 hours on I-80 to Reno and then 4 more hours back made the smaller gearing really obvious; I had to keep the engine revved at about 4 grand to maintain 80mph. I mean, it sounded happy, and it kinda prevents me from speeding for any length of time, and it had no problems climbing any of the steep mountain grades along the way in 5th sans-boost.... but I think I'll have to make one of my 3.90 T-Legs into my long-distance runner for the higher cruise speed.
Basically, its begging me for a 6th gear.
But it 0wNz all the other imports in the area! And now without that gay whistle in the HKS I'm not embarassed to give it a bit of boost
Did I mention that even throughout the entire ~550 mile round trip, the tranny maintained all of it's oil (cocktail)? I checked it at every rest stop, but once I was sure it was doing OK I went a good 200 miles at 80mph on cruise control to really test it. Fantastic transmission Keith, top drawer. Thank you once again.

NICE
I know what you mean about highway driving. In my poor little GTX, 72 mph is about 3900 RPM with a droning exhaust

I just hang out in the slow lane with the radio up
For anyone who is counting pennies, I had 6 of these boxes, only 1 left! I'm looking for more but it will be a while if I get some.
Glad you are happy Chris!

I can also attest to the 4.11 LSD greatness ala Frantic Four. If you're reading this and thinking, "hmm... do I want that?" Trust me, you do.

huh, I am considering doing something similar. What about putting on some larger-than-stock wheels to give it a bit longer legs?
