Look here for the post in the wheel section.

the tires are discontinued and tirerack is selling them for $100 each normally $165 or something like that.

Well thats the funny part, I cant really notice a difference. The car actually feels "heavier" to me now though. I thinki its due to the wider tires. I was expecting crisper cornering due to the +1 offset but I cant notice anything there. I definatley need to do the suspension next.
Thanks for the compliments!

Wierd. How about total grip? I'm considering buying these since they're on closeout and my RE92's are sucking.

Richard, no rub.
AWD_addit (dont know your name

) Grip seems to be very good, I've been seeing how fast I can take off ramps and have yet to hear tire squeel. The body does roll like a mofo though so thats usually what makes me slow down. Keep in mind these are summers ONLY. But I'd pick them up If you have a set winters or all seasons for the winter.

IMHO the Dunlop SP Sport 5000's I had on my 93 were the best Ultra-Performance all seasons I've ever had the pleasure of driving on. They wore out rather quickly, but damn did they stick!!! The car was very predictable and controllable. Even in snow they never let me down.

Sounds like they are pretty kick-ass. I read a bunch of reviews and almost everyone likes them. I'm going to get a set to be my summers.
Some lower springs and new struts will clear up that Jell-o style body movement.

Good plan. One thing I'd recommend if you're doing the install yourself, get a dremel or some sort of power cutting tool. It makes cutting the brake line brackets really easy.

noted, I have a compressor and a full compliment of cutting, grinding, impact etc. tools...

I got a set of these tires in the same size last month and they are pretty kick-ass!
I've yet to break traction. I can enter turns like an idiot and they just stick. These are bad for my driving habits.
I was being tailgated by a pickup last week while doing a prudent 5 mph over. Diving onto a 170 degree on-ramp put a lot of space between us.

note: these are now $90 each!!!!! I too have noticed that the car leans like a mofo but will not break traction

wow that looks awesome. I am really itching to get some LGT wheels for my new ride but the $$$ just isn't there. I might be able to afford the wheels but not the rubber, one of these days. I need to find a better paying zoo.
