I have one on the way here. ( it has approx 50,000 miles on it. I may be able to get another for a decent price. ( less than $400)

If you want one, message me.

ok for those who wanted to know, these are from the early JDM WRX's.

Image

Each one will be different, so some may have all the lines, or they may be missing a few. Deadbolt may be able to supply lines, ( or not)

I would be pricing them according to mileage/condition/lines or no lines.

I will have my first two in a few weeks. I will have pics and updates then to everyone who messaged me

OK, again for those who messaged me:
They are from Japan - early WRX engines. As for condition: I won't know (short of the picture) until I have it in my hands.
I will check for shaft play and notifiy each person of my findings.

I talked to deadbolt and a complete rebuild costs $299.
An upgrade to the Super 16 wheel would be $299 in addition to that
( as this was my intended move)

Each one is being sourced independantly. ( meaning I am buying them from the original owners, as they are removed from their vehicles)

I am having them shipped by sea instead of air, so I can keep costs low and in turn get them to you for cheaper. But that means a 2-3 week turn around from when I buy them to when they get to the US. If you are in a hurry, then I can get one within 2 weeks but it will cost another $50.

When my first few come in, I will offer them to people who messaged me first, moving down the list chronologically.

Aside from coolant line and oil line issues, what are the issues in making these fit our sport sedans?

The only other issue is that the intake section from the turbo outlet to the intake itself is no longer at 45* but at 90*. pretty much this means it's time to find an intercooler-

How does the TD05 compare to the VF12 in performance?

The VF-8 and VF12 also use the RHB5 compressor housing, like the 10 and 11, but they have a different exhaust housing. The VF-10 and VF-11 use the P15 housing. The VF-8 uses the P18 (same exhaust housing as a VF-24, VF-28, and VF-29). The VF-12 use the P20 (same housing as a VF-22 or VF-23) and is way more powerful than a TD04. Many a WRX owner has replaced his TD04 with a VF-12 because it is almost as powerful as a TD05. The VF-12 is the highest CFM of the old roller bearing IHI turbos used on Subaru Legacies...

good info! But how could the VF-10 and VF-11 have the same (RHB5) compressor housing if the VF-10 is a 90 degree outlet and the VF-11 is clocked to like 45 degrees?

I want one of those turbos!

Thanks for the schooling. I will stick with the plan to install the VF12 I have, and the WRX IC.

It can use the same SPECIFICATION of housing without using the exact same housing...

Sorry I have a pretty good list and I only have the first run of three coming.

Depending on how this works, more maybe later.

I am starting on my contact list today.
