ok i got a 91 legacy wagon 5spd non-turbo. i broke the 1st and second gear shift fork. the transmission is torn down to only the one part of the case and the shift rails and forks still intact. all of the gears except the fifth have been removed. all i gotta do is take off the 1st /2nd gear shift fork. now i see there is a pin that holds it in but it doesnt look like there is enough room for it to clear the case when removing. i just wanted to see if there is anything else i have to do or any tricks before i just wack the pin out and end up screwing something up. sorry for the book, and thanks for helping!

Loosen the spring ball retainer and pull the rod back. Tap out the pin and wiggle the shift rod out while holding the fork. Install the new fork the opposite way.

Make sure you get the correct shift fork, as there are different part numbers for the correct offset of the fork.
