Point or no point?

Do you guys and gals reckon it's worth the effort to stick a free-flowing muffler on an otherwise stock ej22t car? Is the stock muffler restrictive enough that I'd notice any difference moving up to something better? :?

I think it'd help....but how much....don't really know.

I'd say at the very least replace the exhaust from the catalytic converter back if you're going to do anything with the muffler... you can always replace the rest of the piping later.

It won't really do much.

When I was going to install my CES system, I hacked off the muffler because the bolts were rusted on.

Then something came up and I couldn't install the exhaust.

Didn't make any real noticeable difference.

So no real benefit aside from the sexy noises... gotcha...

the followup question would have to be: How much needs to be done to the exhaust to get a noticable difference?
