I just got a 90 Legacy Sedan 5-speed AWD Non-Turbo.

I would like to do some jdm front and rear body part swaps.

What fits?

I have seen some nice JDM Headlights and Tail lights on ebay.

I would like to convert the front hood to the Legacy turbo Hood with the scoop, what else can i do?

Bumper, Headlights, Taillights, etc?

Which jdm parts fit my car.

JDM Headlights = bad.

JDM tails = never seen those before for a 90

Turbo hood = not that big of a deal - just get one that matches your car, bolt it on and you're done.

Rear parts = nothing different between Turbo and non-turbo (BTW, 1990's did NOT come with turbos)

Front parts = I guess if you wanted to swap bumpers, you could, but it's rather pointless.

If you're just another ricer trying to ricify a 90 5MT, sell the car and go get a Honda and rice that out.

I dont know why you assume im a ricer? I'm also in the process of swapping the drivetrain with an EJ20G setup and I'm shooting for 300-350hp (crank)

I just want the car to look a little more sporty, I'm not looking for body kits or anything I just want to make it look like the Turbo's do since I like the look.

Guess I will just figure it out myself, thanks for nothing.

Glad to see a quality member on here finally, I was initially turned off by the first guy posting here.

When you come in and say "I WANT JDM PARTS YO," it's hard to not think that.

Anyway most stuff will fit because, well, it's the same car. Front bumper beams are different though so that could cause issues.

Thanks for the advice.

Hold up just a minute. Thanks for nothing? Hello, I gave you some good information so you don't go and waste money on JDM parts.

JDM headlights aim the wrong way for American Roads. Not worth your money.

JDM tails for a 90-91? Never seen 'em before - ever.

Like I said with the hood: Find one of your color and you're gold or, find one and paint it, your choice.

Subaru's are like legos. Everything fits together - whether it's worth doing or legal, well that's a different story.

Just don't try to put 92-94 headlights on your 90, they definitely won't fit.

And assuming you're a ricer: Every time a ricer comes to this forum, their first post is something akin to "Dood, hook me up with some JDM parts" - which is pretty much what your post said.

You want to look sporty, you've got the wrong car. These things are made to go like stink in the worst of conditions - looking good is secondary.

get jdm stuff which is useful:

1. jdm rear window, which has a built in wiper, so when it rains and snows you can see out the back window. Get that that would be very beneficial. these run about 100 to 200 bucks

2. jdm front foglights. They fit in a usdm stock turbo front bumper. so get the bumper from a turbo as well. ebay they go for around 45 or so.

3. the single turbo ej20g motor, with the correct ecu for it, and the wiring harness. Just make sure you get the mathing tranny and the rear diff, intercooler, and axels. that way you have a low mileage drivetrain. this package will run anywhere from 1000 to 1500.

thats all i can think of now.............and I am pretty sure you have not seen JDM tailights on ebay, not in the last 2 years anyway.

 they had it in the literature back in 1990.
my parents bought a 90 legacy stripper new back then and I remember a turbo in the legacy being mentioned.

If you have a 1990 Turbo Legacy, you'd have a car more rare than any other. Including an ABM 94 sedan, or a 92 TW.

I don't have one. I just recall it being mentioned back then.
Kinda like pontiac had a montana thunder with a 3.8 and 2** horsepower listed in early sales literature, but never got produced with that motor.
it happens.

If they bought it back in '90, then maybe they bought a leftover '90 model and the literature was for the new '91 models....?

Just a thought.

i have JDM lights, i aimed my left ot the ground, i have driven by it on the road so i could see what it looks like on coming, its really not as bad as people think, its like a new Mercedes with those bright white lights or a motorcycle

its 100% better than the old ones i had, i dont really regret buying them, i cant afford EDMs, everyone wants more for used EDMs than brand new USDMs are
the only thing i dont like is you cant always see the side of the road good, so if there is something like a deer or a dog you might not notice it as quickly, but they are 100% brighter than my 17 year old plastics, they look allot nicer too

JDM 89/90 Legacy's had different rear tails than the USDM 90/91's. They also had different badges beneath the rear windows than we had here.
