For the used 04 WRX clutch setup i got off ebay for 50 (includes stock flywheel, stock pressure plate, and stock clutch disc) .....for my 92 SS turbo.....it arrived yesterday and i was able to give it a quick check. It has 35k miles on it.
the clutch disc is getting worn from the WRX, but not to the rivets(there are no burn marks). The Flywheel is excellent shape, no need to resurface(with a feeler guage it is near perfect), and the factory grooves are still there.
For the pressure plate cover, it has .009inches/0.23mm of warpage across the plane directly over center hole, edge to edge. Is that okay or do i need to resurface. What are the service limits please? recommend please. I already ordered the EXEDY disc only and a pilot bearing (for 68 total with ship) off Ebay.
All goes well on this, I will have a new clutch upgraded to WRX spec for a little over 110 plus my labor.
