90 Legacy AT problem

Hello friends!!
I´m from Peru in south america, and I new in the Subaru world, please sorry for my bad english, here I go!.
First:
I have a 1990 Legacy SW 2.2 EJ22 AT with 120,000 miles
the initial problem was that the car just work in 1st and 3rd gear, all the mechs told me that the problem was the brake band.
Iput down the transmission and change tha brake band and all the disk, then mount the transmission with new fluid (8.8qt)and then born my actual problem.
The transmission "enagege" in 1st and 2nd gear, also in retro, but, if you put in "D" or 3rd gear nothing happend, is like neutral position.
I contact with some guy with some kind of scanner fot AT and he told me that my problem is 2 "celonoides" or sensors, one from the valvex box and one inside the transmission (fluid pression and gear selection I guess), we dismount the AT again and replace this sensors, and mount the AT again, the problem is the same today,
please I need some help in this matter.
Best regards and thanks in advise
