Seems the windshield support for the sunroof broke today.
Right now, I unscrewed that bolt, put it back together and tightened the bolt down again so the sunroof will close. Looks like I can take off that little side support thingy and get a new one? Ideas on the cost?

I have 3 turbo legacy's. I had been driving one for quite a while, then switched to the 2nd car. Opened the sunroof, notice it had that shield, and didnt remember seeing it on the other car. Yep. It was gone. I think it was there when i bought the car, and one day i thought i heard something fly off the car.
Got mine at the junkard for 5 bucks.

I just put a washer under the nut to hold down the support.
It worked well. I believe I used a washer I used with 8mm bolts.

When mine broke, I just removed the whole wind blocker flapper thing. Pretty pointless if you ask me.

Yup. I just removed the windshield and it's support rails and everything was peachy.

Yaaaaay.... this is exactly what was wrong with my windshield. Did the same thing too. Just removed it and drive around without it - while I try to fix the other part. Sooo happy that I found this
