I have a 1990 Legacy L. What exhaust can I put on it for the best sound and look?

Sound and look are all personal preference.

If you just want to replace the factory muffler, you could use practically anything. Borla or Greddy wouldn't be a bad choice if you have money, heck, I'm just running a Summit turbo muffler (like $14.99). Depending what you want for looks, you could just get a nice chrome tip. I just hid my muffler so that you don't see anything sticking out.

Whatever you decide to use, I'm sure you'll like it, subaru's have a signature rumble.

To my ears, a silencer with two tips out sounds a lot nicer than the very popular single tip. :-)

Then, in order not to look like a street-racer I painted the stainless silencer and out pipes matt black.
