*sigh* depression

This is just kinda a "poor me" post. If you dont have the stomach for it, or just dont like this kinda thing, dont read it.

Hate my job and cant afford to quit. My ex gets 50cents out of every dollar I make so my already minimal paycheck is paltry at best. Just keep pumping out the resume's to potential employers.

Car is down. head gasket is blown. Past owner was not very kind to the motor so I dont want to fix it. Picked up a rebuilder motor ($200) Rering kit (Gaskets, bearings, rings, $300) Front end rebuild kit (Tentioner, pullys, belt, bearings $200) and still need to get the heads redone for another around another $200+. Cant bring myself to look at the damn thing anymore much less work on it. considering just buying a junker legacy and letting the motor be a project.

Kid is in Juvinile hall. Got into a tiff with his Step father, apparently his step father head butted him. He went and got my old guitar (epiphone SG special) and laid the bastard out. Prosecutor is charging him with Assault with a deadly weapon. No idea what is being dont to the stepfather.

Im having serious anxiety attacks, doesnt seem to be anything left for me to focus on that isnt already a big pain in the ass.

Anyways. thanks for listening..

I was there with the job and car part two years ago. It really sucked. I wish you luck since that's mostly what got me out.

how about a little grateful dead to put some perspective on things?

Maybe you collect or maybe you pay
Still got to work that eight-hour day
Whether you like that job or not
Keep it on ice while you're
lining up your long shot
Which is to say
hey-ey

Keep your day job
Don't give it away
Keep your day job
Whatever they say

Ring that bell for whatever it's worth
When Monday comes don't forget about work
By now you know that the face on your dollar
Got a thumb to its nose and a
Hand on your collar
Which is to say, hey-ey

Punch that time card
Check that clock
When Monday comes
You gotta run, run, run
Not walk

Steady, boy, study that eight-day hour
But don't underrate that paycheck power
If you ask me, which I know you don't,
I'd tell you to do what I know you won't
Which is to say
Hey-ey

Daddy may drive a V-8 'Vette
Mamma may bathe in champagne yet
God bless the child with his own stash
Nine to five and a place to crash
which is to say...
Keep you day job
Until your night job pays

It sucks. You could try to approach it with the conservation of odds law. In other words if you flip a coin enough times it comes out even for heads and tails. Same with life, for every bad thing that happens, an equal number of good things have to happen. That view keeps me going at least.

Goddamn.

Forget the car, I'd be 10 times as worried about my kid being in juvy.

*raises hand stupidly* Do you have a lawyer for him? If so, then I hope he gets your kid off for self-defense (and for doing it creatively too!). If not, is it because you can't find a halfway decent one or because you can't afford one, or something else?

Anyway, I've been down that road as everyone around here knows all too well (they all probably got sick of hearing it from me). My best (and least comforting) advice I can give is to stick it out. It really is true that with enough determination, you really can get yourself out of anything.
