what does the tranny do? any gears, reverse, etc? does it go into gear and then slip, or no gears at all? Could be you broke the flexplate, which is a relativley easy fix.

its doesn't even engage in any. the motor just free rev's like its in nutral.
this up coming weekend me and my friend are going to do the swap.
heh its a good reason to do the swap now

flexplate is ~$35. You need the turbo specific one, it's slightly smaller

A good floor jack does help. It may be worth buying one.

I may potentially be doing the same thing in my car.
keep us posted, my biggest concern is the pedals and all the neccessary items that go along with that.

the pedals are pretty easy, its just a really small space to work in. i removed my Auto tranny computer it get them in . they are on one bracket and it held in by 2 bolts and 4 nuts.
yesterday i got the tranny stright and i got the pedals in and the clutch cable on and ajusted. i also did a little wiring in the engine bay.
now im haveing a hard time geting the front axles in because i just unbolted and popped the lower ball joint out to get the axle out from the auto.
sucks!
