15" Wheels from another make/model

Post by voodoochylde »

Howdy guys! Sorry for the odd question but...here goes. I've got a 1990 Subaru Legacy L AWD with the stock 14" steelies. I've also got a 1982 AMC Eagle SX/4 with 15" wheels on it that I'm curious about. Would any of you know whether the wheels will fit on my Subaru or not? I don't know any of the specs other than the wheels being 15" as I can't find ANY information on google about this.

Any help is VERY greatly appreciated as you're helping out a destitute college student who owns a car with HUGE rust spots (got a new hole today!), a big light bar, and tons of personality :P

How many lugs? The bolt pattern on most subarus is 5x100, 5 being the number of lugs and 100 being the spacing in millimeters I believe.

You'd also need to check the offset, if you've got a repair manual for that other car it should give you the specs for the rims. The right offset for most subarus is +48 to +50.

The Eagle's wheels are a 5-bolt pattern, no clue about the spacing. If I can find an FSM for it, I'll post back. Hopefully it's the right spacing and offset...save me some money :)

Thank you for the reply!
