Here, in the old continent,... we have a state cup in "autoslalom"; i have no idea how you call that autosport overseas..
Two weeks ago, the cup finished with last race in beatifull sunny (warm) weather; 75 cars showed up (wich is pretty high number for amateur cup in nation with 2 milion people

)
Think you will recognise this "european" car...

So much cool stuff in those photos. Is that a Fiat 600 Abarth? And what is done to that Renault Twingo??
How many of those are Yugos and how many are Fiats?

All of them are Yugos (made by Zastava in Serbia...); we have national rally Yugo class... this little cans are pretty fast (over 100 HP, light,...)
Nowdays there aren't many of them on the road anymore (broke down, rust; you all know Yugo story... don't you..

)
That little yellow fiat is (was) Fiat 750; in 60s Zastava (look above) bought licence from Fiat to make "car for the masses" in ex Yugoslavia. This one has 4cyl block from 1000ccm abarth, turbo, launch control...
Renault Twingo survived transplantation... it has Renault 5 GT turbo engine in it... accelerates like hell
That little "Lancia" is Autobianchi A112.

autoX is an abbreviation for autocross. ie the "X" is cross
saw a yugo on I25 the other day, going about 50mph and trailing a cloud of blue smoke.
I'd rock one with like a x1-9 motor and dual webers...

Well, I thought Yugos were nothing more than rebadged Fiat 127's, and somehow, they got made into bigger POS's than the Fiats in the process.

OMG that's awesome! Any idea on HP? Is that legal (here in the States, it's supposed to be illegal to put an older engine into a newer car)?

The Twingo has ~150HP...
As far as i know it's not a daily car...
About legalisation of the new engines... anything can be legalized; but the car has to pass inspection... new parts have to have safety certificate (german TŰV), lots of paperwork, time, money,... so most of the heavy changed/tuned cars are for track use only.
