I dont think so, you could try google or ebay though. Are you lookin for a factory replacment? or like steel mesh looking thing? if your looking for factory replacement try PMing blackbart on here he's a member that is really good with spare parts. I know he does mechanical, not sure about body parts.

But your car is no where even close to an STi.

STi was orginally developed to tune factory setups. Whether the car is STi tuned and/or is equipped with STi parts, it can be labled STi.

STi is not a model (like Type R, M3 etc).

If his wagon meets the above criteria, I see no reason why he cannot sport an STi badge.

But I do agree that since the STi is viewed as a model (atleast here in the US), it would appear out of place and lame most likely on such a car, unless of course the car is heavily modded in a professional manner.

Which it is not.

Seeing as how this was his first post I personally don't know squat about what he may have/may not have done to mod it. Irregardless, it's his car...

I once took a 3.5" tall silver eagle for bowling trophies and used it as hood ornament on my beloved POS 86' Dodge Colt Vista. I liked it and that's all the mattered... I even ran with it while I had a squirrel tail on the antenna.

Let the man enjoy his Legacy however he wish, it's still a Legacy :).

Who cares what it's labeled!!

It's nobody's decision but the owner's as to what he/she wants to put on their grill, so leave it alone!

I for one like getting feedback on my ideas when I post them on the forum. I thought that was kind of the point?

thats fine, hech i was going to put a STi badge on mine grill but i couldn't fine one, then i was at a local wrecking yard and saw that badge on the ground in perfect condition, endnig up getting it for $0.25, used some silicone i had around to glue it on, and loved it since.

if i where you, just put the STi badge on, be different, its YOUR car, not THEIR'S!!! be yourself, its nice to see someone else wanting to be different.

Its not as bad as badging a Geo Metro with a Type R badge or a Pontiac Sunfire as a GTR. Thats going overboard there. But he has a good idea going with the STI badge on the grill. He's matching up the badge with the manufacturer that made the badge, Subaru . Not like a Geo company making the Type R badge because it goes to an Acura/Honda. I put an I-Club badge on my grill cause it was a nice blue colored badge and I am a member of I-Club and its Subaru oriented. But then again I own the car and I put on what I want.

I have a friend with an 06 impreza sedan with the sti badge in the grill. Some bug him about it, I think its pimp. He put it on there soon as he put his first sti part on his car (can't remember what). On that note, one might even call the sti badge and sti part, so by putting the sti badge on the car you are putting an sti part on the car.

mmm nothing like 2:30 am circle logic

My roommate spray painted an STI logo on the WRX Intercooler that connects his WRX turbo with his Legacy engine.

I make fun of him for it all the time.

Real quick. According to FHI, there are rules as to what is considered STI and what is considered STi.

STI (capital I) is for Subaru Technica International. It is the factory performance division, much like M for BMW, AMG for Benz, NISMO for Nissan, SVT for Ford, and SRT for Dodge. SO, STI makes parts, modifies models of various offerings, and handles the Subaru Racing front.
STi is not a model (like Type R, M3 etc).
This, unfortunately, is incorrect.

While FHI states that STI (capital I) is for the division of FHI which handles motorsports, STi (with a lowercase I) is a designation for a trim level of their models.

For example; The Subaru WRX STi is a model, exactly like the Honda Integra Type R, or the Dodge Neon SRT4. It is NOT a Subaru WRX Tuned by STI. There is a subtle, but distinct, difference in the wording and lettering.

SO, labeling a Legacy an "STi" would be incorrect, because there was, infact, never a Legacy STi model. It's akin to putting Cobra badge on your V6 Mustang, or putting an M3 badge on your sisters 318.

However, if you were to have stickers made, that used STI (capital I) instead of STi (lowercase I), then the badge could be justified with just one STI part.

And "Irreguardless" isn't a real word.
