For some stupid reason I didn't get any pics of the black 91, I'm stupid or something, that car was hot but here are all the rest of my legacy pics from Subiefest, and A few of my non legacy favs, enjoy!
On a side note does anyone know how the driver who rolled that black WRX is doing, nasty crash (I think he was sponsered by Audio Integrations?), I cant stop wondering what happended to him, hope he's OK

My 92 SS

Nice meeting these guys, sorry I already forgot your names, I'm horrible with names, and to the guy who was parked behind me, (back left) you lucky bastard getting to ride in that rally car, what a cool way to end an awsome day!

EDIT, Sorry about posting that pic of the guys WRX didn't know he didn't want one out there, Ive taken it off, still thats awesome that he is alright, was really worried when I saw the lifeflight land at the track!

These are all the parts that came off the car and were picked up off the track, that wheel still has the spindle and hub assembly in it, and there are a couple of kenwood amps, subs and speakers that came out of the trunk and rear decklid that you cant see, like I said REALLY nasty crash.

That's me, Adam West that encouraged you to join the show and park there. I've got the blue tinted headlights with the hood liner still in place...
Yeah that's a cool picture...one of the best yet I've seen showing stock vs. lowered an inch with H&R sport springs...that black legacy smoked us all...Kleinkid's no?
And if people had joined the show I probably wouldn't have even placed. That green wagon knocked me out and Sean's orange BBS and all that he's done to the car (on it's third engine) is damn impressive. Can't figure why people don't want to show their cars. Its not really a competition, no? Wack.
And the owner of the munched WRX asked people not to post pics of it so I don't think we'll see it any time soon. Heard it rolled multiple times (11?)...
I would have loved to be a fly in the wall on that drivers meeting - I wonder if anyone brought up the fact that this time attack wasn't a real race and said "hey guys, don't crash"!...The turn (1) after the straight is where cars typically roll on this track...Basically cars get light and if you don't set yourself up right on the straight (stay to the left) you have to "turn" at very high speed just as the car crests over a slight hill. So like I said the car gets light, takes flight to the left, loses traction and augers in to the right- I saw a picture of it on a guys camera at the show and it showed the tracks in the shape of a "J" right into the grass (before it went airborn) and it did exactly that...I guess the guy only sprained his finger after all that too. Subarus rule for safety, his story should be on freaking commercial...
So that incident shut down the track, we didn't get to see ken block work out on the tarmac, we didn't get to drag race, we didn't get to get that STI vs. NA bs over with...So yeah, once the dust settles someone will have to decide are we sponsoring a race or an event i.e. entertainment vs. serious stuff where people can get killed?
Anyhoo, the entertainment part was cool. All in all, these guys are jounalists not emprisarios, so I think they made and admirable first effort... Heck I had a ball. I got to talk to Ken Block about how the e-brakes work on their cars (they disengage the differentals with a switch that goes off when the pull the lever). I got a ride in two rally cars. I got to see Matt SuperRallyRoo almost roll his NA rally car...
What else? Oh yeah, did I say that I got wicked silver plaque - 2nd place Best Legacy...All in all wouldn't have missed it for the world...

Yeah that black t-leg is John Hartley's. He's on the boards, but I'm having a momentary lapse of brain power to remember what his board name is.
edit: kleinkid.....that's who it is

Matt, you'll laugh when you see it. Enjoy!
For everone else, I'll let Matt describe what happened...Matt?
Fun stuff for sure. If you had rolled it would have been super low speed and EVERYONE would have been talking about it...as it stands as a roll that never happened, just a few of us take it to heart..you, me and britsh Alex in the passenger seat, perhaps his wife and kids too...
Feel free to post on youtube and send us a link...

I'm glad he didn't roll it too...because then I wouldn't be codriving it at Wild West rally...and I have a pretty big urge to get in the right seat, as I haven't rallied since Oregon Trail in April!

I'm not mad or anything that people are saying I almost rolled it. I would rather get a roll over out of the way at 20mph on a rally cross course then at 110mph on stage! Or down a cliff or something haha. (knocks on wood!) I simply was smashing didn't really care about the corner I didn't know how badly rutted it was there as I think it was my first run sense it had gotten that bad. It was also my fastest time at 1:19! I just steered out of it and the car went back down. People say I was about 3 feet off the ground on one side.Adam West wrote:Matt, you'll laugh when you see it. Enjoy!

Yeah Nick, Matt can be bought. But let's just say he works cheap! <grin>
Oh, yeah, no worries Matt. I thought it was so cool. If you had rolled it it wouldnt' have been bad at all (agreed). Actually too bad you didn't because then you would have had a repuation to live down. I'll have to see the video but I'm surprised that people noticed! And that is very fast time. Good on you!
