Because its a turbo does not make it a touring wagon. Touring wagons have the raised roof.
Show me something that sais otherwise.

The fact that the 1992 Touring Wagons are BJ (short roof) and say "Touring Wagon LE" on their front fenders...
And in other countries...the raised roof (BF) turbo wagon was called the GT...

My roomie bought a 92 turbo wagon with the low roof, and it said 'TOURING WAGON LE' on the dash.

Touring Wagons have turbos. Raised roof is irrelevant because the 94 Ti's, GT's, and Alpine Sports may or may not have raised roofs and that doesn't make them touring wagons.

Touring wagons are turbo'd.
The raised roof models are the sort of "special" models in 94.

I'm not aware of ANY USDM turbo wagons with raised roofs. Show me otherwise.
There's plenty of info on the Touring Wagon model in the scans section here:

Just that I saw this on Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Legacy
Look under chassi codes. It specifies touring wagons as those with a raised roof. And on every other subaru a touring wagon is that which has a raised roof on it. Wonder why SOA changed it for the legacy's.

I'm personally responsible for adding much of the content on that page, but not that particular bit.
It may be a world-market distinction, but it's certainly not here in the states.

Personally Id be more inclined to believe whats labeled on the car by Subaru, than what someone wrote on the internet.

All Touring Wagons are turbo. Check the brochures.
The only raised-roof 1st-gen wagon was the 94 GT. That is the actual BF. Every other wagon is a BJ. None of the other 94 "specialty" wagons, or any other wagon in the entire 1st-gen Legacy line, were raised-roof.

But that doesnt make my wagon a touring wagon just cause its turbo'd. What are the difference between the touring wagon models and the plain ole Turbo Wagons?

Strangely enough, and I didn't notice this until I looked just now, the 92 brochure does not have any section on Turbo wagons.
But... the 93 and 94 brochures automatically refer to Turbo wagons as Touring Wagons.

AFAIK, there aren't any "plain ole Turbo Wagons"
Just touring wagons.
Sorta like there's no plain old turbo sedans, just sport sedans.
