Got the new turbo today, took some pictures next to a stock WRX turbo for comparison.
The turbo is a Deadbolt modified VF34, ported & polished exhaust side, including larger wastegate, coated exhaust side, ported inlet.
Flows 650CFM @ 14.7PSI in stock configuration, no idea what it'll do ported.
My new turbo on the left, stock on the right:

Just the post I need.
Splinter, as you know with the 5mt when you dont want too much boost you drive in a taller gear.
However, with any 4eat this cant be done. With a "built" and a high- stall torque converter the action can be spikey, which is not good when you might need modest response.
To tame this I've looked into the Forge adjustible waste gate actuator, with ,say, a 5 lb spring.. Problem is--their parts list as to the car not the turbo. Telling them a vf34 that might have been oem for a STi v. 7 doesn't seem to help.
What they need to know is how many bolts secure the bracket that holds the actuator to the compressor.
Well, mine still has the chimney and even with a good light I was unable to tell.
Can you check yours and let me know and while your at it could you also give me the length of the rod and the distance to were it makes the bend?
Thanks,
