WRX Seats in the Impreza

I picked up a set of 02 WRX seats and put them in the impreza. They are much more supportive, and pretty easy to swap in.

The seating position is a little different, the bottom cushion is angled up a little, which is different. However when I measured the distances from the mount bolt to the top front portion of the cushion, they weren't that much different....even between the Legacy.

So I may play around with these seats and see how they fit/feel in the legacy. Swapping the seat belt buckle kept from having to swap to WRX seat belts.

Don't look at the STI logo and color. But, quite a difference isn't?

Those are the 02-03 WRX seats.

The newer seats are like the ones in your picture.

I've talked to a few people that have new STi's that did own 02 WRX's, and they like the 02 WRX seats better. They have better leg bolstering and seating position.

I have put 02 WRX seats in a friends 92 legacy Wagon L, they made a world of difference, they do sit a bit lower so the seat belt connector sticks up a bit high but who cares?

All the Impreza turbo models have integrated seats in Europe. From 1997 till now...

And sitting lower in the Legacy? Did you use your Legacy frame or the WRX frame? I hear from everybody that you sit a bit higher with the WRX seats :?

yes do tell how you accomplished a lower seat. Being 6'7" makes my seat swap options slim unless i can find something that does sit lower.
