Noise from the rear??

Immediately upon quietly starting down the road today the noise from the rear sounded like somebody had put some aggressive snows on the rear. Not the case and I even stopped to make sure they had not lost a lot of air.

I checked the rear windows to make sure they were not down a little--sometime I crack them to hear the exhaust note better. Nope.

Is something going wrong with the rear diff :?:

is your rear diff leaking? try checking that. Could be a wheel bearing, I thought my rear diff was bad because it leaks but it turns out it was my right rear's wheel bearing.

is it a howl, whine, click????

Sounds like snow tires with same noise on acceleration, deceleration, or steady state. :?

No leaking.

Rear--driver's side--wheel bearing. Being fixed now.

Rather now than when on a 2-hour drive up Vancouver Island on December 23 :-)
