How hard is it to take off the intake manifold? Is it possible to do the reverse intake manifold mod like the STIs and WRXs? Im wanting to change out the gaskets and paint the mani crinckle red like the STI.

You can reverse it, however you have to relocate the alternator, and change the fuel lines, boost pickup, vacuum ports will be on the opposite side of the engine, as well as the IAC valve....and modifying the wiring harness.

So it can be done, but expect to do a lot of other work to get it to work.

throttle cable will be a pain too

make sure to label everything there are so many connections its easy to forgot what goes where. I had my manifold off putting new injectors on and I forgot to connect the little coolant hose going into the back of the T.B.. Coolant everywhere...
