I have no clue what it actually is because the only thing on the Turbo is Garret M24 ar.60

It was $202.50 shipped....

Brand new!

The inlet is 3" and out is 2", The inducer is 57 mm

And its got some wacky exhuaust housing, but its gonna work great for me! The word on the exhaust housing is "PRECISION"

The turbo wheel exducer is 55 mm.

Goodness Doug... You just don't do anything small do you :).

Are you going to use this to replace your supercharger setup?

Either way, I can't wait to see the installed pics.

I feel like Doug has more forced induction setups than he does cars.... :-D

I sure wish I did....

I'm pretty sure all GT series turbos are watercooled. That looks to me like a T4/T3 with a custom exhaust side. Pull off the downpipe section and take a pic of it. Is it 5 bolts, or 4?

How'd you end up scoring it for that cheap? Is there any axial or radial shaft play? I'd be concerned about either shaft play or leaking seals if it was that inexpensive. But, good deals do come along every once in a while...
The inducer is 57 mm...The turbo wheel exducer is 55 mm.
Where are you measuring these? The inducer is the smaller, outside edge of the compressor wheel and the exducer is the larger, inner edge of the compressor wheel. Fire off these two measurements and we can figure out what compressor wheel is in there (the 55mm & 57mm measurements don't match up to anything).

It's a Buick Grand National turbo put out by Precision Turbo & Engine

The turbo will feed the SC. I want to get about 20-24 psi. Obviously the turbo could do that on its own, but spooling is going to be an issue. The SC starts at 8 psi at 2000 rpm, is at 11-12 by 3000. So with the Turbo thrown in it should hit the 20's fairly quick. And since the turbo is so huge, the air moving should be on the cooler side compared to a smaller turbo that is working harder to move the same amount of air.

Compressed air into another compressor is more than 1+1 = 2, The turbo should only have to move 8 psi into the SC to get 22 psi out total. Or so says the math.

But if it doesnt work, so what, at least I tried it!

Precision huh? They make a good turbo.

I'd be willing to bet they carry a V-band outlet flange for that exhaust housing. Bolty-Bolty!

Your going to feed the SC with the turbo?

Why not the other way around? Feed the turbo with the supercharged air. Isn't that how the HKS Twin-Charge kits for the old SC MR2's worked?

That would make sense to me, allow the pre-pressurized air from the supercharger pass the inducer fins. should help eliminate some of the lag no? But as we've all seen, Mr. Vincent is almost incapable of doing anything that would be considered "conventional" or "normal." :)

Good Luck, and I wish it the best. Keep Us posted!!!
