Anyone herd anything about the Ksport coilovers for our cars? Have a buddy that just orders some for his 92 L wagon. I've seen a set on a 06 LGT. Look to be good quality. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these.

I had them on my '99 Maxima... aside from having them rebuilt under warranty when they blew, I had no problems. That car got autoXed 3-4 times a month, was daily driven in downtown Chicago, and I put close to 15K miles on them, before totalling the car in Dec. '07. Adjustability was incredible. And, I dropped the car about 2.5" all around, and there was plenty more left. I could have gone another 2.5" if I wanted to.

One rally event turned them into paper weights in my experience. I would stay far away from Ksports. The one person who chimes in says they had to be rebuilt under warranty. That should be a little bit of a clue as to their quality.

Mine blew within the first 300 miles. I called up KSport, and they sent me a new set with their new oil seals in the shocks, and they lasted for almost 15K miles, before I totalled the car.

I paid $1,500 for my lightly used 3,000 mile like new Tein Type HT Gymkhana Master coilovers that came off a GC impreza from a nice asian guy on NASIOC. They're pretty much awesome and I love them.

Being the one that originally started this thread trust me when I say don't waste your money. My buddy got the ones supposedly FOR the 92 wagon and with the rears adjusted to the highest spring hight possible the car was still dragging on every little bump and pebble, they obviosly didn't do alot of research before releasing their products. Also it only took 9 months before he compleatly blew out a coilover, and at that point he just did in town commuting with the occasional weekend drive in the mtns. Like MikeyMeyagi get the BC's. Can't say I have personal experience with BC's on my car but I have a couple of friends that have run them in the local Auto-x scene for the last couple of seasons and have had great success, one set is on at GC8 impreza with a full STi swap and the other is on one of the coolest BG leggos on the planet (wide body, JDM STi spec-c drivetrain minus the engine and a custom EJ20/EJ22t set up). The Leggo was second in class last year and got bumped up into the top class for this year.

The H&R Street coilovers fall in the <$1500 range and use Bilstein dampers.

Are those H&R coilovers for the GC impreza or 1st gen legacy?

Quick google shopping search shows you can get H&R Street coilovers for a GC impreza for about $1,100 + free shipping brand new. Not bad. Only problem is they don't come with top mounts. So you'll need to find some and I highly recommend ones with camber plates on the front and rears unless you have adjustable lateral links in the rear. Those camber bolts are a pain in the ass and barely give you any adjustment in comparison.
