So, my gf has been giving me a hard time everytime I want to drive my wagon... She told me yesterday that the seats really bother her. I cant help but notice that the seats really do suck.

What gives?

I feel like im sitting on a piece of plywood...

Are the wrx seats any better?

I feel like undoing the seat cover and ripping out all the old cushioning and replacing it with new.... Anyone done this??

What trim wagon do you have? I found the stock L seats very uncomfortable because they rode too high, but my LSI seats are awesome.

I have no clue what the trim is, but im going to guess I have an "L" trim. They are cloth seats.

I think it's the lack of leg support.

My brother has 02 WRX seats in his 510, and they are quite comfy for long periods of time...

The 2.5RS seats I had in my Legacy were nice.

My Forester seats are mediocre. They seriously lack lower leg support, and seat swaps aren't a major possibility because of the ride height differences. The Forester seats sit a good 2" taller than WRX/STi/Legacy seats.

I'm on the fence about what to do. I might try to source 06 Outback XT Leather fronts and hope they are the right height.

I found that my '91 SS seats were very nice, especially on long trips. They wound up finding their way into my GF's Impreza, and she loves the hell out of them. She'd kill for SVX leather seats though, if they'll fit, those were some nice seats there.

My mom's '00 Forester's seats are alright, but then again, the car isn't all that old yet. My '96 Impreza Brighton though, complete crap for seats.

I've found that Subaru seats in general aren't all that bad. My '95 Neon had crap seats, even after I swapped in a set out of an '01. The '90 Grand Prix, hell I felt like I was driving from the backseat in that one, cause the damn seat had no adjustment. No fore/aft, no recline, it was a real POS seat, I'm sure it was supposed to move, but mine didn't
