Fueling issues?

okies...so I have this setup on my EJ22T swap.

XSPOWER (Stone Racing/SSAutochrome) header/uppipe; 4-1 header coated/wrapped
3" bellmouth downpipe (x3Racing) coated/wrapped
3" catback
Freshly rebuilt TD04L
'02 WRX TMIC
'02 WRX fuel pump

I plan to be boosting @ 12.75lbs at the borderline of the BOOST CUT with this WRX turbo. Will I be running into any fueling issues? Even if the EJ22T injectors are reading 90% duty cycle, will the a/f still be slightly on the rich side? I may have to run a RRFPR to up it. I've hear the SVX has a higher pressure fuel pressure regulator, true? Fitment?

What about MAF issues? I have the BLACK MAF and was wondering if putting that on will solve anything?

Engine management I'm just running the STOCK EJ22T ECU.

Cheapest (?) but easiest solution would be a 3-1 rrfpr.

going for 44 psi to (12 psi x 3 =) 80psi.... This would bump your injector to be about 500 cc.

No issues. I am running a very similar setup (minus header/up-pipe) and I run up to 16-18 psi with no problems. I have done NOTHING to the stock turbo fuel system other than a Walbro pump. WRX pump should have no problem either. I'm running the stock metal MAF right now, but I may switch to the plastic one cuase I have one laying around.

What's better about the plastic one?

plastic one doesnt max out as soon, ie it takes more air flow to hit 5 volts.

humm......
I MAY want to push 16psi with this TD04...... but then it's the MAF that I'm afraid of the may make the injectors shoot out the wrong fuel; not enough or too much.

If the fueling is sufficient with this setup, I may want to do up a FCD and boost to 16psi. IF fueling isn't sufficient, then I'll just boost to 12.75psi.

Do I want to put on this plastic MAF for 16psi? It would lean out the a/f which would be oppisite of what I want with this TD04.

I think you are good, the TD04 doesnt flow that much more than a vf11.

I apologize if this becomes a hijack, but where can you find the plastic MAFs? Certain Leggys or are they random? Maybe Blackbart has the hookup. Anywhoo, I would appreciate a little more info on the plastic ones. Thanks!

Junkyard, all Auto 90-94, and 92-94 5mt NA had them.

You will get a CEL though, but all you have to do is ground out the blue wire and it will go away.

In addition to the Leggies mentioned, it can be found on all 93-98 MAF based Imprezas and Legacies. I refer to it as the AA160 MAF. It's pretty damned universal and is what was also used on early WRX's and early Leggy Turbos in other markets...

TTT
wouldn't I be running RICH once I past 13psi.....because the MAF would max out there....then injectors go WOT and are 100% IDC....push to 16psi and still hope that a/f are not near 13:1.
