yeah, lol. my favorite part is when youve got your shit all prepped and ready to go and youre looking at it right before you drop teh hood. that or after you just layed a sweet ass bead.

doug, thats awesome youre getting your kids in on the welding, looks like theyre having a blast which is really cool. theyll be fab masters by age 10!

wow is he yours? man thats something to tell when the dads are braging about thier kid lol
is that his woman as well ....or is that just his sister(can she weld too?)

i realy wish i had my own stick welder so i could learn more than how to do beads with E6011 on 1/2" steel like we do in welding class at school
id realy like to learn how to weld aluminum, that would come in handy with working on cars

i dont think welding on a wood palate is a great idea though, maybe im wrong though, but my pants and boots (seprate ocasions) will tell you things can flame up alot faster than you think when they are next to 2500* (so will the trash can)

Those kids will be so good at welding by the time they're old enough to work.

not a great idea no but you have to really try to set wood on fire when youre just welding. my workbench is wood and it does have some burn marks yes but for having some pretty large, very hot pieces on there its doing fine. I'm actually looking for a metal desk or something to use as a welding table though for ease in fitting up.
