mmm I love watching that stuff. Anyone got old colin mcrae legacy full rallys? I've been lookin for some but can't find any, also if anyone has any full group b stuff I'd love it. If been content with searching youtube for bits and pieces

I have the 93 WRC season on VHS. I captured it a few years ago and cut all the Subaru footage together. If I find it, I'll upload it to YouTube or somewhere.

I found the whole thing, but I can't upload it all to YouTube.

I'm thinking about cutting it up into each individual rally and then uploading them that way. I'll also cut up the Legacy footage and put that up on its own.

It turns out that the rip I made of the full rally has audio sync issue when I imported it into iMovie. Instead, I took the Subaru clip I'd already had and cut it into Legacy and Impreza chunks.

...issues with the 555 Legacy transmission in two instances - now why doesn't that surprise me?

As much as I hate to admit it the Imprezza looks lots faster, perhaps it just because it is a smaller car?

Also noticed some hood scoops missing on the Legacies - guess they all had FMICs?

The Legacy won its first and only event, also Subaru's first, in New Zealand that year. They had to win before Subaru would give Prodrive the Imrpeza.

The Impreza almost won its first event, but Vatenan had to settle for 2nd. We all know how awesome it was from 95-97, with three manufacturer's titles and one driver's title.

No, the 555 Legacies ran AWIC's

And the Imprezas ran the slanty TMIC

They don't run FMIC's on rally cars because they would catch an awful lot of gravel...

The transmission in the Legacy was NOTHING like the ones that came in the production cars...it was a dogbox for one, and I believe it was solenoid shifted on some of the later cars.

I have a Subaru DVD rip of David Richards talking about the early Legacy program and how they were using hydraulic and solenoid-driven gearboxes in those cars, which made them more reliable than the stock transmissions.

Not sure about intercooling on those and the more modern rally cars, but I do see hood scoops on the first few shots in the video.

I know for a fact the Prodrive Legacies used AWIC
