I'd like to hear your set up of how you any of you got your ej22t to 300hp or more. Let's hear any bottom end mods, which heads you're running, what fuel system, which turbo, which intercooler and which transmission you're using.

300 whp or 300 crank?

300 crank is "easy", just put in an intercooler, bigger turbo, rrfpr and 18 psi.... This will translate to between 225 and 240 whp.

300 whp, is a whole nuther ball game.

First step new heads, either DOHC 2.0 heads, 2.5 SOHC heads, or any other heads than our own!

Personally I am shooting for a minimum 300 whp with this setup.

Stock ej22t bottom end (all new rings and bearings)
3 ply metal head gaskets.
2.0 DOHC heads from a twin turbo
Matching intake manifold
550 sti injectors
3-1 Vortech FMU (rrfpr)
Big Ass FMIC
Big Ass Turbo and supercharger combo.
Modified "bigger" MAF
6 puck unsprung disk/forester flywheel/RS pressure plate
STock NA tranny

I plan on running 20 psi for 300 whp... Thats the guess... Then I will try for more.

Keep 'em comin! I'm loving hearing all the different strategies. Feel free to also tell how you like the feel of the motor and how reliable it's been.

Has nobody included upping dsiplacement in their motor building? I am very far away from attempting it but I think it would be really fun to make the ej22t into a ~2500cc. This can be done with a different crank right?

in theory yes, you could stroke an ej22t to 2500 by offset grinding a phase 1 2.5 crank for more stroke and have custom rods. but it would have some crazy short rods which is no good, might also require block clearancing, possibly no good. in practice, you make a 2.35L using a 2.5 crank and special pistons from wiseco or others.
better to get an ej257(Sti) block if you want to do bigger cc.
