Separating a Turbo 5spd tranny from an EJ20

I just recieved a JDM ej20/5spd tranny, & ran into problems I never before experianced while trying to seperate the tranny from the motor.
On N/A Subaru tranny's I have removed all bellhousing bolts & just fought to seperate the engine from the tranny (stubborn/bonded together). Once I managed to get a gap between the parts they basically fell apart.
On the turbo tranny the through-out bearing seems to be attached to the pressure-plate & will not allow the tranny to completely seperate from the motor.
I removed the tranny by removing all of the pressure-plate to flywheel bolts, but I know there is a better (correct) way to do this, the question is how?

There is a plug with a 10mm hex next to the clutch fork. Unscrew this plug, then thread an M10 bolt into the pivot pin and pull it out. The fork hangs free, and you lift it off of the throw-out-bearing. Then its just like pulling an N/A transmission.

I did pull out that hex plug, I tried to push the pin under the hex plug to try to remove the clutch fork but it did not move.
I was afraid to thread anything in because I thought I may damage something.

after you take out the hex plug, the pin that holds the fork in place is threaded. It's a 10mm thread, so you need to find a 10mm threaded bolt, screw it in, then pull it out.
this is from my memory, so i might be wrong on thread size, but that sounds right.

This is correct. I just went thru the same thing. If you have trouble sliding the bolt out, due to buildup of gunk and stuff, once youve threaded the M10 in you can use the claw on a pry bar and gently tap the bar with a hammer to get it loose.
