i know im gonna catch some flames on this one, me and my girlfriend did exactly the same damn thing but even shadyer. i had to get my ae86 corolla out of my apt lot or id get it towed and lose it (never registered it). so i had to rope tow it with 2 extension cords, doubled up, at night with no battery on the rolla so no headlights or anything. towed it with the legacy too. my girlfriend was scared as shit after but she did a really good job. it was funny, we use our cell phones like a rally intercom system to tell each other when to brake n shit. made it all the way to the moms house maybe a mile or so. gotta get er done!

Actually, thats REALLY dumb - forget smacking up your car - you could have seriously injured someone else. No better than drunk driving.... Spend the 50 bucks and get the damn thing towed...

Not condoning the act but most Wreckers wont tow un-registered vehicles.

I work for a dealership in ny. We park cars in bus stops with no plates and occasionally get tickets, but for the most part the cops leave use alone. Any car with a plate would be ticketed and then towed. Im willing to bet if the cop knew the car didnt belong to the dealership, he would ticket and tow regardless of regi status.

just going from what my friend told me about the mustang he was towing. the guy didn't have it registered, and he wouldn't tow it. Something to do with the companies insurance.
