Where exactly do I place the EGT probe on our cars. Is it ~4 inches from the exhaust port on the number 3 cylinder, or do you put it post-turbo on the downpipe as I heard that somewhere.

3-6 inches from the exhaust port on cylinder #3.

an O2 sensor is what goes in the downpipe.
