Just wondering if anyone knew how stiff of a spring I shouldbe running. The one I have is a little on the stiff side. It works, but its a little slow to react. I love the valve. It is about as quiet as an atospheric goes. It also came with a really soft spring, but with that one in, it sits wide open. I tried shimming that one, but to get it to stay closed keeps it from opening. argg

9 psi with a couple washers works well on some.
11 psi spring by itself works great in others which pull strong vacuum.

If you tell us which spring you have we can make a recommendation.

Its actually a knock off, and I'm not shure which spring is in it. The seller said it had too heavy of a spring, so he didn't ship it untill they got the lighter ones in. It came with the heavier one thankfully. It works, there's just a delay in opening. I don't know if thats normal. I also don't know how much pressure it should take to open it.

Mine's a ways from the throttle body so yesterday I tried a nylon hose for the bulk of the distance to see if the rubber hose was flexing and causing a delay. It didn't have much of an effect.

I can vouch for that! My type-S knock off is sketchy as hell! The adjustment seems to float around.
