I'm planning on using these pistons in my ej22t block with phase 1, 2.5L crank and pauter rods. I will be using wrx heads. I want to know who is using this setup and if it works! Also what head gaskets should I use and what compression ratio will different gaskets yield?

WRX heads won't work with stock Legacy engine management...

I'm guessing by his SN that he runs a wrx.
wrxzzz, you need to learn how to calculate compression ratios, find the thickness of the gasket you want to run, and plug that number in.
I'm a dummy when it comes to math stuff and even I understand how CR works.
CR=(total volume of 1 cylinder @BDC)/(total volume @TDC) with total volume @ BDC being displacement+gasket volume+piston volume+head volume, and TDC being gasket, piston, and head.
volume of a cylinder is pi * radius squared, which is the area of a circle, times the height of cylinder.
head volumes are given as a cc value as well, which is obtained by placing a piece of glass or other flat object on the head surface over the combustion chamber and measuring its volume using a liquid like ATF to measure how much you put in with some special graduate cylinders and things. although Ive never done it myself I imagine its pretty straightforward if you have the rig. I'm sure someone has already cc'd the wrx head and these numbers available on nasioc somewhere.

I have 04 WRX heads running with my leggo ECU?

Thanks for the breakdown. I was just wondering if someone already had these numbers, as this seems to be a popular setup. If not, once I get some head gaskets, I'll crunch the numbers.

I meant in their completely stock form, with completely stock Leggo Engine Management
