BOV ranting - Running rich? Why not relocate the MAF?

So nearly all of us are aware of the "problem" of running an atmospheric BOV. Making you run super rich during shifts and all. This is obviously due to the volume of air being dumped that has been metered by the MAF. I just noticed that Perrin sells a "Blow-Thru Boost Tube" for the STI. It sounds like all there doing is moving there MAF from pre turbo to post turbo to monitor the air that is directly going into the throttle body. Why can't this be done to the EJ22T? ECU sample rate too slow? Or is there a small latency figured in for the reading/response of the ECU? I'm not sure that it would completely get rid of the running rich...but wouldn't it help?
Sorry...I'm thinking again.

Nice. Are you monitoring your A/F? Just wondering if it completely takes the problem away.
The only reason I bring this up is because I see a lot of postings about the "problems" with running a atm BOV setup. This doesn't appear to be that difficult of a mod....just surprised more aren't going this route.

Yes I have an AFR meter. I never backfire due to MAF problems.... I only backfire due to running 820 cc injectors... haha
