I'm seriously entertaining getting this car for $9000,

but I've never used a standalone or sequential ignition. Can anyone tell my why I should or shouldn't? Thanks!
P.S. If anyone comes back with, "No, because it isn't a Legacy", I already see it coming. All I own are Subaru's and I'd never leave this forum. I plug you guys every chance I get (pun intended).

I know the guy selling the car. Its a nice piece, and one helluva deal.
Needs a couple bugs in the tuning worked out, like cold start, but thats because he only autocrossed it. If I didn't already have my Legacy worked out, I'd jump on it.

For 9k, I'd buy it as long as I didn't need to pass emissions.
I'd immediately save 5k for a built tranny though...

wow. That thing looks really nice. Very clean. I'd buy it. I've always told myself that if I were to do another subaru build after my tleg, I'd go with a gc impreza. Very nice.

The joy of MN. No emissions or inspections.

I absolutely love that car! I know the guy who used to own it and have ridden in it several times, before any real tuning was done. I wish I had the money to buy it.

Matt Field, the son of the owner of the local Subie dealer here in Detroit Lakes, bought it from some guy in California and drove it back up here. He is also a member here, too. I think he had it a little less than a year before he sold it. I don't remember the name of the shop that did the swap, but I know it was one of the places we've all heard of with a good reputation. I just wish they had tuned it.

Only makes slightly over 200 hp? Not internally gutted so it weights what? Guys are adding TMICs MBCs and TD05-16g s into Leggy's and getting that kind of performance - so this is actually making me feel pretty good about our cars. I guess get it if you always wanted one but I still wouldn't want it...Wonder if I'll be able to get 9k for mine someday?

e36 M3's are an awful lot of money to still have a slow car.

Yes, but they are the ultimate driving experience! <grin>
I've done track days with some and they are fast enough...they do have a little problem with the frame breaking around the rear struts...
