Hey.

I have just put a gc8e sti form 98 engine in my legacy from 92, with tranny and everything.

I would like to know how much boost the engine run at stock?

Do anyone know where to find a part/detail list of this engine?

I was told it was one of the graetest sti engines, but is it true?

How much boost can the engine handle without modifications? -the vf24 is recommended to give nofurther than 17psi.
(the engine have run about 120000 and do not leak oil or anything...

I have wideband lambdasonde and fully programmeble ecu, so fuel and ignition is no problem...

Basically, as long as you have a proper amount of fuel and enough intercooling, you can run as much boost as you want...

As long as you watch your Wideband...and make sure your AFR's don't get more than 12.7:1 ish...

I don't know a lot about the VF24, but I am sure it can do more than 17 psi considering I do that with my VF12 no problem.

The VF24's are not meant for high boost. You will want to change to a VF 22 or a newer STI turbo or an older Td05-16g if you want to run higher power.

I would probably go no further than 20psi due to the age of the engine.

A VF22? What a waste of money. VF30's do the same power as the 22, and are FAR more reliable.

Put an 18G on it and be happy at 300whp
